He & I
He & I Band is an all original Recovery Music Ministry. We write songs based on real life and how Jesus is the way, the truth, and the hope in and through it all. We’re a little bit country, a little bit blues, a little bit broken, a little bit bruised.
Angie had a vision of recording an album with all her songs about her recovery journey just to share with friends and family. Sunny and Angie began writing and recording the original songs in a friend’s local home studio. The project took on a life of it’s own and became a bigger adventure than originally planned and they needed a piano player to bring the songs to a more magical place. They prayed for God to bring them the perfect person and that is where Damien Blond came into the project. The mix of all three writers is where He and I Band began crafting their signature sound of classical, blues, folk, gospel and country music.
Angeline Ann West
Angie is a melody maker and the lyricist of the band. She began her musical journey in the 5th grade by playing clarinet in her Elementary School Band and Junior High/High School Orchestra. She started leading Worship in 2011 at the age of 33 on various Worship Teams when her journey of recovery, restoration, and relationship with Jesus began. This is where she met Sunny Dove and the two became instant friends and began writing and recording original songs together.
Damien Blond
Damien grew up playing classical piano and started playing keys for worship bands in high school. After writing piano compositions for many years, he met Angie & Sunny in 2017 and started getting into writing Christian music for the first time. He has been playing piano for various churches in the Mill Creek / Everett WA since 2017.
Sunny Dove
Sunny is a master of all trades and plays many instruments, his favorite being bass. He started in elementary school with trombone and then in high school his after school interests turned into learning any and all instruments in rock and roll bands. He spent many years as a roadie/substitute musician with multiple bands in the 70s. He then transitioned into worship and gospel music and found his mission and destiny. He has been writing original music with Angie since 2011.

This group of friends came together for a season performing all over the Seattle area doing festivals, fairs, prisons, recovery events, open mics, and church outreach programs. In the summer of 2017 they entered a songwriting contest at Rock The Church Northwest. Their song “Scars” won the contest and they were given the opportunity to record and release the song with Bentbeat Productions.
